Aventuur currently has several projects in the works. Of those, the surf parks in Perth, New Zealand and Jacksonville, Florida are taking in the lion’s share of publicity. This week the company announced the addition of Sam Seifert to the growing team.
“We would like to welcome Sam Seifert to the team as an Associate,” the company said in a social media post. “Sam is focused on research, operational model creation, and data-driven analysis to support Aventuur’s global investment activities.”
Prior to joining Aventuur, Sam worked at Applied Value Group and L.E.K. Consulting, where he focused on operational strategy, due diligence and go-to-market initiatives. Across both firms, he participated in more than 30 strategic and operational engagements for clients ranging from early-stage ventures to global corporations.
Aventuur is run by Andrew Ross, Nick Edelman, Richard Duff and others. Ross was responsible for getting Australia’s first surf park built, from the digging of dirt and testing of equipment to firing off the first waves in 2019. Edelman and Duff launched Aventuur in that same year as an adventure and leisure investment platform.

Aventuur Projects
In Perth, Aventuur was selected by the Western Australian Government in 2021 to develop a 5.7-hectare site in Jandakot, south of Perth. Plans call for a 56-module Wavegarden Cove lagoon, surf academy, hospitality offerings, wellness facilities, accommodation and event spaces. , with opening now expected in 2027, and is expected to be a welcome addition to Perth’s surf, tourism and recreation infrastructure.
Aventuur’s Jacksonville Surf Park continues to advance through planning and permitting in northeast Florida. The project, located within Jacksonville‘s eTown development, will feature a Cove lagoon as the centerpiece of a larger surf, hospitality and recreation destination. Following land acquisition, rezoning approvals and public funding support, the development is moving through final design and regulatory review. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with the park targeted to open in 2028 as Aventuur’s first U.S. surf park project.
Aventuur’s Auckland Surf Park remains under development in Dairy Flat, north of Auckland. The project is planned around a Wavegarden Cove lagoon and a broader mixed-use community that includes accommodation, housing, a town centre, a solar farm and a data centre. Developers are targeting a 2028 grand opening. Once completed, Auckland Surf Park is expected to be New Zealand’s first surf park and one of the largest surf-anchored developments in the Southern Hemisphere
