Construction Progresses at Cabo Real Surf Club Amid Summer Development Milestones

Cabo Real Surf Club reports ongoing progress in multiple construction zones as the project continues toward key summer development benchmarks.

Wave Basin Construction Underway

Crews completed grading for the wave basin and recently poured the concrete foundation for the machine room, according to project officials. Construction teams will continue work on the artificial wave pool throughout the summer. This activity will center on structural elements and water circulation systems.

The development team finished grading the first phase of residential parcels as well, including the Boardwalk Homes and several Villa and Estate lots. Teams will begin underground utility installation later this summer. The company aims to begin vertical construction on homes by year-end.

Cabo Real Surf Club Casitas Progress Ahead of Schedule

Grading for the Surf Casita section moved ahead of schedule. Project managers expect to complete this phase by the end of May. Additionally, they anticipate launching construction on the Surf Casitas in late 2025, pending infrastructure completion and permit approvals.

In preparation for broader utility access, teams installed temporary and construction-phase power systems. These systems will support upcoming phases of electrical work and allow future infrastructure to connect more efficiently.

Cabo Real Surf Club is under development by Meriwether Companies and the Sánchez Navarro family. Announced in December 2024, the project spans 3,000 acres and features over 200 homes. In addition, the project offers custom estate lots, boardwalk homesites, surf casitas, and ocean-view villas. Prices for these residences start in the mid-$2 million range, with move-ins anticipated by late 2026 .

The wave pool, powered by Endless Surf technology, will offer a controlled surf environment suitable for all skill levels. The company’s first wave pool in Munich is the centerpiece for a stand-alone buisness model. Cabo follows the home ownership model. This facility will consistently generate high-performance waves day in and day out. Consequently, visitors can expect reliable surfing conditions, regardless of ocean swell patterns.

Additional amenities include a Robert Trent Jones II-designed championship golf course, a private beach club, wellness facilities, and a racquet sports center. Membership is exclusive to property owners and their guests.

This development reflects a growing trend in integrating surf amenities into residential communities, aiming to enhance property values and lifestyle offerings .

Looking Ahead

Cabo Real Surf Club continues to position its development as a destination combining artificial wave technology and residential surf real estate. While the timeline for surf operations remains unconfirmed, the project team plans to release more updates later this year.
