Endless Surf announced Wednesday that Cheyne Magnusson will serve as its new Surf Design and Operations Manager.
Magnusson, a veteran in surf park development, will lead surf programming, lagoon commissioning, and operations. The company said his appointment supports ongoing international expansion and a focus on customizable wave technology.
Extensive Background in Surf Park Development
Cheyne has worked in the surf industry for more than two decades. He previously competed on the WSL Qualifying Series and surfed professionally for brands such as Quiksilver and Body Glove.
In addition to his surfing career, Magnusson helped launch and manage several wave pool projects. He developed wave libraries, led commissioning teams, and trained staff. Endless Surf cited his operational insight and rider-focused design as a strategic advantage.
“Cheyne is the kind of talent you build around,” said Paul Chutter, President of Endless Surf. “His track record, feel for wave design, and ability to create next-level experiences make him a huge asset as we grow. With Cheyne onboard alongside our CTO Clement Ginestet and Product Lead, Axel Terradillos, we truly have a powerhouse team shaping the future of inland surf.”
Role in Wave Technology and Operations
In his new role, Magnusson will collaborate with product and engineering teams. His work will include expanding the company’s wave programming and refining user experiences. Endless Surf noted that he will also assist with R&D and help advance its proprietary wave library.
“Endless Surf is already pushing the envelope with what’s possible in a surf pool,” said Magnusson. “To join Clement and Axel, and be a part of this next chapter, is something special. The runway we’ve got with this technology is truly endless and I can’t wait to start taking it to even greater heights alongside this best-in-class ES team.”

Cheyne Magnusson Wave Pool Projects and Global Reach
Endless Surf is currently building surf park installations across five continents. The company recently opened its first facility at O₂ SURFTOWN MUC in Germany. Magnusson’s experience in artificial wave systems will support these ongoing efforts.
He will work with clients on surf programming, team training, and operational execution. Endless Surf emphasized his role in aligning technology with performance and customer expectations.
Magnusson’s Strategic Importance
Magnusson lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters. In his new position, he will travel frequently to support surf park operations and ensure global standards are met.
The company described his appointment as a reinforcement of its commitment to surf authenticity, reliable execution, and innovation in wave design. Endless Surf views Magnusson’s presence as a major asset in delivering the Cheyne Magnusson wave pool experience across its growing portfolio.
