Endless Surf’s first-ever Endless Surf Client Cup brought the spirit of sharing and celebrating surf sessions to life. Through a high-energy day of waves, collaboration, and a little friendly rivalry in Munich.
“This wasn’t just about bragging rights,” said Tanner Wilson of Endless Surf. “The Client Cup served as a live demonstration of how Endless Surf’s flexible wave technology enables authentic, competition-style surf experiences.”
Hosted at O₂ SURFTOWN MUC and presented with Rip Curl, the event showcased the ability to deliver a wide range of waves, all within a single event format, with flexible intervals to allow for proper judging.
“This versatility, combined with up-close lagoon viewability for spectators, created an electric atmosphere from start to finish,” said Tanner.

Unique Contest Format at a Unique Contest Venue
This was a team-based surf contest mixing pros, advanced surfers, and beginners. Each team featured two professional surfers, two ‘average joe’ participants, and one beginner client, all working together to compete on a variety of waves — from high-performance point break sections to playful beginner rollers. Customizable wave intervals, allowing the pacing between waves, allowed judges ample time to score and teammates time to swap positions.
“A standout highlight of the event was the long, rolling progressive wave in Single Peak mode, providing the perfect canvas for beginners to get on their feet and ride the entire length of the lagoon,” added Tanner.
As the four teams battled it out under the watchful eyes of Rip Curl’s coaching staff and judges, spectators enjoyed prime vantage points, close enough to feel part of the action and cheer on every ride.
“More than just a competition, the Client Cup showcased how wave pools, and Endless Surf in particular, create authentic, community-driven surf experiences in a wide variety of formats,” said Tanner. “Congratulations to the winning team, who took home bragging rights as the inaugural champions of the 2025 Endless Surf Client Cup!”
