For the past few years WavePoolMag has documented the evolution of ADG and Epic Surf within the surf park space with keen interest. The legacy water park company has created a host of surf experiences, including a 3-in-1 boogie-boarding pool in Australia, a 3-acre compact surf development concept, and more than 130 FlowRiders as the North American licensee. The latest jewel in the company’s crown is the grand opening of the Epic Surf deepwater standing wave at Heroes Paradise in Brandon, Florida.
According to the company, the ES46 installation is the largest standing wave on the East Coast of the US and the second-largest standing wave in the United States. The installation spans 46 feet of surfable width.
The ride features rapidly adjustable wave heights ranging from 2 to 5 feet. According to the company, the wave is designed to make surfing accessible to the masses, from beginners catching their first wave to experienced surfers looking to sharpen their skills.
Guests can book one-hour surf sessions on the wave. Trainers and fellow surfers can provide instruction and adjustments in real time. The facility also includes retractable training bars designed to assist guests with stability and comfort on the wave. The wave features a walk-out recovery zone that allows riders to exit without swimming.
The Epic Surf wave was designed, engineered and manufactured in the United States by Aquatic Development Group. The installation was crafted at ADG’s headquarters in Upstate New York and constructed as part of a property expansion project that broke ground in November 2025 and was completed in seven months.

Heroes Paradise announced introductory pricing of $60 for a single EpicSurf session, $599.95 for a 12-session card and $599.95 for a summer monthly membership.
