The cool thing about the surf park boom is the creative and constant refining wave pools do to keep their facility busy. Lost Shore Surf Resort announced this week that they are offering discounted accommodation and expanded surf programming for the Easter and spring season. Creative, no?
The surf park, which was recently voted by WavePoolMag columnist Mike Goldys as “The Best,” is offering three- and four-bedroom lodges with dog-friendly options and views of the wave pool at discounted springtime prices of £150 per night. Guests staying in the lodges can also receive discounts on surf lessons and sessions. Easter egg hunts and family activities are scheduled during the holiday period.
Waterfront pods are available from £100 per night. Guests who book a waterfront pod in February or March will receive a complimentary brunch each morning of their stay at Lost Kitchen. Kids Surf Camps for children ages 7 to 16 will take place during the Easter holidays. The week-long camps are offered at beginner and intermediate levels and cost £200 per child.
Residential surf camps for adults will resume in March. The program includes two nights of accommodation and three days of coaching. Prices start at £195, or £295 including accommodation.
The resort has introduced a new advanced wave setting called Turns to Tubes, designed for advanced surfers practicing turns and barrel riding. Managing Director at Lost Shore Lee Wood said the surf park is stoked with the new setting.
“Spring is one of the best times of year here,” said Lee. “The days are longer, the energy shifts, and people are ready to get back outside and challenge themselves. That’s exactly what Lost Shore is built for. We see families learning together for the first time, kids progressing quickly through camp weeks, and experienced surfers stepping up into more challenging wave settings. What makes it powerful is that everyone, whatever their level, is sharing the same water and the same sense of progression.”
Lost Shore Surf Resort is located about 10 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and about 25 minutes from Edinburgh city center. The surf bus to the resort is now a registered public service operated by Ember.
Accommodation can be booked through Booking.com or directly through the resort’s website.
