Global Shred Ventures and Surf Farm have announced plans for a new surf park on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, with construction expected to begin later this year.
The project, planned near the Glass House Mountains, will feature a 62-module Wavegarden Cove alongside hospitality, retail, and wellness facilities aimed at both visitors and local residents.
According to Sunshine Coast News, Global Shred Ventures has “signed a memorandum of understanding to progress development and equity arrangements.”
GSV will oversee development and long-term operations as Surf Farm advances through detailed engineering and technical planning. The partnership is expected to be finalized in the coming months before the project moves into construction.

Who is Global Surf Ventures?
The official Companies House website says Global Shred Ventures is a private limited company that was incorporated in the UK in May of 2024. The active director is Andy Ainscough, founder of Surf Snowdonia.
Global Shred Ventures (GSV) says they develop and operate surf parks and snow parks across the UK, Europe and beyond with the goal of expanding year-round access to surfing, skiing and snowboarding across different regions and skill levels.
“We transform underutilised spaces into thriving adventure sports destinations that inspire active lifestyles, connect communities, and deliver sustainable long-term value,” the company stated.
GSV’s leadership team previously delivered wave and adventure park projects, including Surf Snowdonia and URBNSURF. The company said it is currently advancing multiple surf and snow park developments and has a partnership with Snowtunnel.
The wave pool at Glass Mountain has been on the table for several years now and is aiming to strengthen tourism on the Sunshine Coast. More information is available through Surf Farm.
