Since 2019, The Wave has evolved, making small adjustments to meet consumer demand. From wave menu and settings to camping and kid camps, the surf park is constantly refining its offerings. The Field, a new camping space to open on July 1, 2026, is the Bristol surf park’s latest tweak.
Located a short walk from the surf lake, The Field will offer visitors the option to pitch their own tent, bring a campervan or book one of The Wave’s bell tents. Grass pitches are priced at £30 a night per pitch. Pre-erected bell tents are available at £80 a night and include two single beds and bed linen.
The new campsite complements The Wave’s existing safari tent accommodation offering in The Camp and provides an additional option for visitors looking to extend their stay.

Guests staying at The Field will have access to surf lessons, Play in the Bay sessions, the Clubhouse Café, the surf shop, a children’s play area and other facilities at The Wave.
A 1.5-hour Beginner Surf Lesson with coaching costs from £44 for a child and £50 for adults. A one-hour Surf Session costs from £50 for a child and £55 for adults. Prices include a wetsuit, boots and surfboard. More about The Field at this link.
