In a sign of the ever-evolving surf park space, Waco Surf is taking full advantage of its surrounding ranch area to augment its offerings to the public. The wave pool announced new surf programming, expanded on-site activities and hospitality additions for the 2026 season. Surf sessions are currently available for booking and the resort’s Water Park will reopen May 9, 2026.
The resort, located in Waco, said the 2026 updates include revised learn-to-surf instruction, specialty wave sessions and additional recreation options. The property also introduced The Desperado Club memberships and said more information about a real estate development will be announced.
Surf programming updates include revised Learn-to-Surf instruction for beginners and parent ride-along sessions designed for younger children. The resort also added Glow Surf private sessions and introduced what it described as America’s first Shredmill, a stationary wave designed for continuous turns and skill progression.

Beyond surfing, Waco Surf added rental bikes, side-by-side UTV trail access, and year-round fishing in stocked lakes. Guests may choose catch-and-release or keep their catch. New on-site amenities include a skate park and pickleball courts.
The resort also established off-property partnerships for golf and horseback riding. Golf tee times at nearby courses and guided horseback riding at Brazos Bluffs Ranch can be arranged through the resort’s concierge service.
Hospitality additions for 2026 include professional massage treatments and IV drip services. Existing amenities include cabana rentals and a hot tub near the Surf Lagoon. Custom dining experiences are available for groups and events.
The Waco Surf Hotel lobby renovation includes a full-service coffee bar, now open.

“Waco Surf is kicking off the 2026 season with its most expansive slate of experiences to date, introducing new surf programming, family-focused activities, and on-property adventures that further cement the resort as a multi-day Central Texas getaway,” the company said in a statement.
“From refined learn-to-surf instruction and specialty wave sessions to expanded recreation and hospitality options, the updates are designed to make world-class waves more approachable for families, groups, and first-time surfers, while preserving the high-performance experience that continues to attract professional surfers and travelers from around the world.”
The Water Park will reopen May 9, 2026. It includes a lazy river, wedge slides and a summer live music schedule. Surf-and-stay packages and individual surf sessions are available through the resort’s website.
