Waco Surf, a central Texas resort known for its inland artificial surf and aquatic attractions, will reopen its Water Park on May 10 for the 2025 season. The company has announced several updates, including new children’s slides, refreshed food offerings, and a returning live music series.
Waco Surf Water Park to Feature New Mini Slides Designed for Younger Guests
This season, families will find a new feature: “The Lil’ Wedgies,” a set of mini water slides tailored for younger children. These slides feed into a shallow wading pool, providing a safer, more controlled space for family-friendly play.
To accommodate visiting families, children’s day passes are priced at $14, while a bundled family pass—covering two adults and two children aged 6 to 16—is available for $99.
Core Surf and Wake Attractions Continue to Anchor Resort
Waco Surf’s 2.5-acre artificial surf lagoon remains a main draw. Using PerfectSwell® wave technology, the lagoon generates custom surf experiences suitable for all skill levels. The adjacent Cable Park features rotating ramps and rails, offering wakeboarding challenges for both beginners and seasoned riders.
For visitors seeking instruction, both the Surf Lagoon and Cable Park offer academy sessions. These lessons, led by trained staff, focus on improving guests’ skills and comfort in the water.
As a result of its unique inland surf model, Waco Surf has been featured in publications such as Texas Monthly, Outside Magazine, Southern Living, and Playboy. The facility has gained recognition as a top destination for surfing in Texas.

Seasonal Dining Menus Debut Across the Property
Food and beverage offerings across the resort’s five outlets have also been updated. At the Surfside Shack, guests can choose from new items like a Chicken Quinoa Bowl, a Steak & Egg Burrito, and a Spinach Salad. Meanwhile, the Wedge Grill has introduced a specialty hot dog lineup.
On weekends, The Saloon will serve chicken burgers, fries, and cocktails with views of the Cable Park. Additionally, both The Star Bar and The Dive Bar will feature new seasonal cocktails, giving guests more variety during their visits.
Cabanas, Beach Access, and Upgraded Experiences Available
Visitors looking for additional comfort can reserve beachside cabanas located near the Surf Lagoon. Each cabana includes beach access for up to 10 guests. The Wedge Cabanas, located next to the new Lil’ Wedgies pool, offer shaded seating for groups of up to eight.
It’s important to note that Water Park passes are required for all cabana guests. Lodging and surf guests receive complimentary beach access, while day visitors can add beach access to their booking for an additional fee.
Sunday Sessions Bring Weekly Live Music to the Park
Live music will return to the Water Park starting May 11 with the Sunday Sessions series. Sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink®, these events will take place every Sunday at 2 p.m. Artists and set times will be announced throughout the season.
