Wave Pool in Israel Stokes Tel Aviv Surf Community

On April 14, SRF Park TLV opened in the heart of Tel Aviv, establishing Israel’s first large-scale artificial surf lagoon. The facility represents a new chapter in wave pool development in the Middle East, where surf parks can now be found in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

New Wave Pool in Israel Brings Consistent Surf

Powered by a 56-module system from Spain’s Wavegarden, the surf lagoon spans 160 meters by 160 meters—about the size of three football fields. The system creates up to 700 waves per hour, offering over 25 distinct wave types for different skill levels. It also provides an option to the frequently flat Mediterranean Se.

Wave Pool is On Trend With Wellness and Urban Recreation

SRF Park TLV also hosts an urban wellness experience. Visitors can participate in yoga, movement classes, hot and cold therapy, and mindfulness sessions. These offerings reflect a broader strategy to serve both surfers and non-surfers alike.

Dining Options Designed Around the Surf Lagoon

The park includes rooftop and on-site dining venues that provide direct views of the lagoon. Guests can eat at one of four food and drink outlets: Dorian, Jay Bay, Coco Joe’s, and Lookout. These venues range from juice bars to full-service restaurants, allowing visitors to spend the day without leaving the site.

Surf School Launches With Tiered Instruction Model

A structured surf school is now active at the park. Coaches deliver programs across six levels, starting with soft beginner waves and advancing to barreling waves up to 1.8 meters high. Video analysis tools provide feedback and help surfers improve over time.

Competitive Surfing and Therapy Programs Begin

Organizers plan to host local and international surf competitions. To support this, they installed real-time video systems and analytics tools across the site. In addition to competitions, the park has launched surf therapy initiatives.

These programs include PTSD support for military veterans, youth empowerment sessions, and emotional rehabilitation. A project called AdamGal will serve as a hub for research and training in surf-based therapy methods.

Memberships Tailored to Surf and Wellness Access

SRF Park TLV currently offers two types of membership. The Ocean Club plan includes 50 hours of surf time and early booking access. The Epic Club adds unlimited wellness access and exclusive invites to park events.

Wave Pools Gain Momentum in the Middle East

The opening of SRF Park TLV adds momentum to the growing wave pool scene in the Middle East. Regional developers continue to invest in surf parks that operate year-round, regardless of coastal wave conditions. Although developers have not released cost figures, the project signals a rising interest in artificial surf experiences across urban centers in the region.
