Wave Pool London Investment to Open Shortly

The Wave will kick off its wave pool London investment opportunity shortly. Persons interested in investing in a chunk, slice or sliver of the surf park will be able to do so starting the middle of June.

“Following the recent submission of our planning application for The Wave London, we’re in a really exciting growth phase of The Wave,” said Hazel Geary, CEO of The Wave. “This early investment opportunity gives our most loyal supporters and followers a chance to help us bring surfing to millions more people from all ages, backgrounds and abilities.”

What to Expect in London

Building on the success of its Bristol facility, The Wave aims to create a space that caters to the city’s diverse population, strong sports culture, and high visitor numbers. The initiative is part of the company’s broader mission to make artificial wave pools more accessible while promoting the physical and mental health benefits of surfing.

As investment in The Wave London opens, scenes like this one in Bristol could soon be happening just north of London’s city center.

The project will leverage Endless Surf’s wave pool technology, specifically designed to adapt to challenging site conditions. The public consultation in March at Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Edmonton, in the London Borough of Enfield was well received.

The Wave London submitted their planning application in May and they hope to have all necessary approvals in place by the end of the year. The full planning application can be seen here.

What to do if You Want to Invest in the Surf Park

Right now persons can register for the priority investor list in advance of the fundraise campaign going live. New users need to sign up at least 24 hours before they can invest. Joining the priority list ensures that investors will be eligable when the campaign launches.

The websites will also present all regulatory information, and UK authorities typically vet these details more thoroughly than those in many other countries. Still, helping to bring surfing to London—and catching a few waves yourself—is a pretty cool accomplishment. It combines community impact with personal experience in a unique way.
