You’ve come to love them (we hope), the prosaic, slow-roll, retro-tinged video guides on the WavePoolMag YouTube channel. To date, the Travel Guide section has racked up 135K views. And while those aren’t Ben Gravy or Blair Conklin numbers, they do reflect the curiosity and stoke found here in our little niche of surfing.

This month, WavePoolMag presents a guide to hourly session prices at all of America’s open surf parks. In this video, you’ll find rates for the Surf Ranch, Revel Surf, Palm Springs Surf Club, Waco Surf, Atlantic Park Surf, SkudinSurf American Dream, and Typhoon Lagoon. We also share which technology powers each surf park.

Atlantic Park Surf in Virginia Beach

Atlantic Park, a $325 million mixed-use development in Virginia Beach, opened in summer 2025. Backed by musician Pharrell Williams, the project spans three city blocks and will include retail, restaurants, office space, apartments, and a 5,000-seat indoor/outdoor concert venue known as The Dome—a reference to the original entertainment venue that operated in the city from 1970 to 1994. It is the first Wavegarden Cove in the USA.

PSSC, Palm Springs, California

Located 2.5 hours from Los Angeles, the Palm Springs Surf Club spans 21 acres and combines resort-style luxury with action-sports appeal. Visitors can access a full range of activities, including the Surf Loch wave pool, dining, waterslides, lounge pools, a lazy river, social club spaces, and special event venues.

Waco Surf, Waco, Texas

As the second public surf lagoon to open in the United States and the first commercial facility powered by PerfectSwell technologyWaco Surf has built a reputation for offering some of the most natural-feeling man-made waves in the world. Located just outside of downtown Waco, Texas, this surf park combines wave performance with a laid-back surf resort atmosphere, complete with sand beaches, tacos, and cold beers.

Revel Surf, Mesa, Arizona

Located in the East Valley of Phoenix, Revel Surf is a next-generation surf park that fuses surf culture with recreation, dining, and destination-level amenities. As the first surf destination in the world to offer both traveling wave and rapid wave technologies, Revel features two surf experiences: a two-acre traveling wave lagoon by SwellMFG and a 33-foot-wide standing wave by UNIT Surf Pool.

Typhoon Lagoon, Orlando, Florida

Located within Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, Typhoon Lagoon is a world-famous waterpark that also happens to house one of the most iconic artificial surf waves ever built. While its primary function is recreational, the wave pool is available for both surf school lessons and private surfing sessions, offering rare access to a high-volume, left-and-right breaking wave.

Kelly Slater Surf Ranch, Lemoore, California

Originally designed as a proof of concept by the greatest surfer of all time, the Kelly Slater Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California, has since become one of the most elite artificial wave facilities in the world. Powered by Kelly Slater Wave Co. Systems and now operated under the WSL (World Surf League), the Surf Ranch remains shrouded in selective access, high-performance perfection, and a bit of mystery.

SkudinSurf American Dream, New Jersey

Located inside the American Dream mega-mall in New Jersey—just 15 minutes from midtown Manhattan—SkudinSurf American Dream is the only indoor, high-performance wave pool in the world. The venue runs on American Wave Machines’ PerfectSwell technology, the same system used at Waco Surf, but with a twist: the square pool shape allows for A-Frame wave creation, offering a short, unique split-peak setup.
