Wavegarden and Surf Eye have introduced instant video replay screens for Wavegarden surfing lagoons, allowing surfers to view video of their most recent wave at the take-off area alongside existing machine data. The system is part of Check My Surf | Surf Eye partnership.
The new screens replace the existing data-only display with larger screens that show an instant replay of the latest wave together with a countdown to the next wave, wave type, take-off point, sets remaining in the session and waves remaining in the current set. According to the companies, the replay is available seconds after a surfer rides a wave, allowing immediate review before the next wave.
The companies said the system is integrated directly into the wave generation machine. They also said the screens can be used by operators to display branded content and safety alerts across the lagoon.

The companies said it is integrated directly into the wave generation machine and built specifically for Wavegarden lagoons. Surf Eye said it operates 22 AI camera installations across surf parks in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
