2023 Surf Park Summit photo gallery

John Cocozza is the photographer for the annual Surf Park Summit event held each year in La Jolla. During the two-day event his job is to capture absolutely everything and anything that happens. And as we saw from this year’s haul of digital images, his game is on point.

“The Surf Park Summit is one of those rare events where the industry, people, and location are all incredible,” said John. “First off, the location of the Scripps Seaside Forum right on the beach front at the La Jolla Shores is amazing. Who doesn’t want to walk out of a seminar and have an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean?”

John added that there is always a childlike excitement amongst the attendees, and that’s something he tries to capture through his photography.

“The Wave Park industry is in its infancy, so each year there are always new technologies and new parks hitting the market. This creates a vibe of camaraderie amongst the attendees. People want to meet each other. They want to hear anything and everything about new businesses entering this industry. I already have next year’s event marked on the calendar.”
