Bethany Hamilton is one of America’s favorite tales of inspiration and drive. The red hot Kauai grom lost her arm in a shark attack at age 13. She then recalibrated her entire surfing approach to become one of the best female surfers in the world.

Bethany’s fan base is huge and her personal brand has launched everything from movies to scented candles to animated Christian devotionals.

The world loves Bethany because it seems nothing can stop her. Bethany’s well-documented wildcard draw into the Surf Ranch Pro, came on the heels of several Waco trips. This year she returned to BSR to work on her air game with both diurnal and nocturnal sessions.

It seems that Bethany does indeed have a thing for wave pools.
