Endless Surf and Brasil Surfe Clube announce they will build the two largest wave pools in the southern hemisphere

Endless Surf and Brasil Surfe Clube (BSC) have announced plans for two surf destinations: BSC Costa Verde and BSC at Região dos Lagos. The announcement follows a launch event in Rio de Janeiro attended by over 450 club members and supporters.

The developments will feature Endless Surf’s wave technology and aim to create surf lifestyle hubs in Brazil. Membership sales for the clubs are currently underway.

Both clubs are set to open in 2026 and will include a 48-caisson lagoon, which will be the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, covering more than 10,000 square meters. Endless Surf’s technology, which debuted earlier this year in Germany, is designed to produce over 750 waves per hour, with ride durations of up to 23 seconds. The system allows for customization of wave type, size, and frequency to accommodate various skill levels.

In addition to surfing facilities, BSC Costa Verde and BSC at Região dos Lagos will serve as lifestyle hubs that reflect Brazilian surf culture, providing spaces for members to engage in wellness and cultural activities.

“These projects represent a new era for surfing in Brazil,” said Ricardo Laureano Siqueira, CEO of BSC. “With Endless Surf’s world-class technology at the center, we are creating destinations where members can experience surf culture paired with music, art, natural beauty, and much more. These projects are a testament to Brazil’s passion for surfing and our commitment to building spaces that connect people, strengthen communities, and celebrate our natural surroundings.”

BSC at Região dos Lagos

BSC at Região dos Lagos will be located approximately two and a half hours from Rio de Janeiro, offering Endless Surf’s wave technology alongside resort-style amenities, including a boutique hotel, spa, and dining options in a natural coastal setting.

BSC Costa Verde

BSC Costa Verde, situated in Mangaratiba just 90 minutes from Rio on Brazil’s “Green Coast,” will feature a members-only surf club surrounded by rainforest and clear waters. This club aims to integrate high-performance surfing with wellness amenities, including a spa, art gallery, fitness center, and sports courts.

The partnership between Endless Surf and Brasil Surfe Clube aligns with the growing popularity of surfing in Brazil, fueled by Olympic success and the influence of prominent surfers. This initiative seeks to enhance access to quality surfing experiences and reinforce Brazil’s status in the global surfing community.

Brasil Surfe Clube
BSC Costa Verde will be situated in Mangaratiba just 90 minutes from Rio.

“Surfing is more than a sport—it’s a lifestyle that shapes communities, and Brazil is a prime example of that” said Paul Chutter, President of Endless Surf. “By partnering with Brasil Surfe Clube, we’re delivering surf experiences that match the energy and enthusiasm of one of the world’s most surf obsessed countries.”

In addition to these two clubs, BSC plans to open multiple ES projects in various regions of Brazil and South America, creating a network of surf clubs across the continent. Construction on Costa Verde and Região dos Lagos are expected to start in 2025 with official openings set for 2026.
