Here’s what it will cost to own wave pool access in Cabo

Meriwether Companies and the Sanchez Navarro family officially launched Cabo Real Surf Club in Los Cabos, Mexico in December of 2024. Now the company has released the first details on home options for the development.

The concept of owning a home next to a wave pool is just now emerging in North America, but it’s already established in South America with at least four projects, including those by JHSF, the Luan Group, and KSM Realty. The development of Praia da Grama demonstrated that the presence of a surf tank increased surrounding land values several times.

The initial phase of the 3,000-acre plan will include over 200 homes, such as custom estate lots, boardwalk homesites, surf casitas, and ocean-view villas. The Endless Surf wave basin will offer advanced surf technology, customizable waves for all skill levels, and rides of up to 25 seconds with wave heights adjustable to seven feet.

Interest in the units at Cabo Real Surf Club has piqued this week as a limited collection of 33 private residences available near the wave basin was announced. The homes are priced in the mid-$2 million range, and the company is currently accepting reservations. Home selection and purchase contracts will go live this spring, with move-ins scheduled for late 2026.

Designed by the architecture firm Sordo Madaleno, the Surf Casitas feature contemporary designs that incorporate natural materials such as stone and textured concrete. Each residence includes dual primary suites, a guest bedroom, a media room, and a great room that opens to an outdoor living space with a plunge pool and garden.

“We are excited by the early interest in our Surf Casitas at Cabo Real Surf Club,” said the company. “And are delighted to offer a first look at a Surf Casita interior along with floorplans and a new digital brochure for this exciting offering.”

The company added that the limited collection of 33 private residences located adjacent the private wave basin provides turnkey access to the club access and amenities. Construction is underway, with completion expected in 2026.

Whitewater, the parent company of Endless Surf, has a long history in wave pool technology. In 2024, Endless Surf launched its first waves at the O2 SURFTOWN MUC facility in Munich, utilizing pneumatic caissons and advanced software to create synchronized waves. The company is set to support over a dozen surf parks currently in development worldwide.
