Maintenance Manager at Secret Location

We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance Manager to help open and run a new Wavegarden Cove facility in the Middle East. The role will be supported by 3 of the most experienced surf park operators in the sector through the build and opening phase. The project is fully funded and due to start construction within a month with the intention of soft opening end of 2025.

The site is part of a wider new tourism destination being developed with a 3 mile beach, numerous hotels and thousands of new holiday accommodation and residential units. The beach already receives about 300,000 visitors per year without the development.

General Manager, Atlantic Park

Virginia Beach: The GM oversees all operations at the Atlantic Park Surf Lagoon, including revenue, expenses, regulatory and fiscal management, and overall guest experience. This role entails managing both aquatic and land-based operations, overseeing finance, marketing, human resources, and facilities. The GM collaborates with other stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and uphold exceptional guest satisfaction. Essential qualifications include proficiency in financial reporting, P&L analysis, and strategic capital investments. The GM drives the achievement of company goals and ensures alignment with the organization’s vision and initiatives. Maintaining a deep knowledge of park events and amenities is crucial for optimizing guest experience. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. The GM is accountable for developing an executive team and fostering the growth of all staff. Collaborating with Beach Street Operations, the GM focuses on efficiency, long-term ROI, customer service excellence, and cultivating a top-tier team.

Surf Coach, Abu Dhabi

Under the direct supervision of the Lead Coach & Head Coach, the Surf Coach will perform various duties at the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting video review sessions with an expert level ability to coach and critique all aspects of surfing from beginner to advanced and expert level live coaching in the water with guests. The Surf Coach will work directly with guests to provide them with the best possible surfing experience and progression. The Surf Coach must have an expert level understanding of all ‘wave system’ operations, the wave profiles offered, as well as all lifeguard duties as they pertain to emergency communication and response. 

Lifeguard, Munich

Candidates must possess a DRSA Silber certification or a higher qualification, along with a First Aid certificate (according to BAGEH). Applicants should be at least 18 years old and demonstrate excellent swimming skills. Experience in supervising swimming pools, wave facilities, or open waters is required, as is the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure rescue situations. Ideally, candidates will have experience with daily swimming operations, both in front of and behind the scenes. A strong team player who can also work independently is preferred, along with a friendly, guest-oriented demeanor. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential, as is a commitment to sustainable practices and a connection to the product. Proficiency in German (fluent) and good knowledge of English is required, while Spanish language skills are considered an advantage.
