The subtleties you don’t see in the Surf Lakes plunger system

We love the Surf Lakes system. It resonates with surfers. It’s simple. Painfully simple. Yet, it’s complex. It’s kind of like the wave pool equivalent of that other Australian export, AC/DC – big, dumb rock’n’roll that just works on three chords. The plunger could even be compared conceptually to a stack of Marshall amplifiers sending out joy in a different wave form. In this episode, lead engineer Kit Sidwell explains some of the nuances, history and stoke for the stone-in-a-pond wave machine.
