Stormy conditions, flat spells, crowds – surfing is and always will be a challenge beyond just the technical getting-to-your-feet or perfecting your backhand snap hurdles we all face.

“It’s an age old frustration and it’s completely out of your control, until now,” says YouTuber Kale Brock. “Wave pools have changed surfing forever and we are lucky enough to live in a time to benefit.”

Brock has been coaching at Urbnsurf in Melbourne and says the progression he’s seen for his surfers in the pool versus the ocean is nothing short of incredible.
