In this interview by Survival Stance, Welsh surfer Logan Nicol spends a day at The Wave and talks about the QS slog and what it takes to compete in less-than-ideal conditions.

You got to love it. There are some boys who do it but aren’t keen on it and that’s not gonna work because it’s not easy,” says Nicol. “The easiest thing is going on loads of free surf trips. But contests can feel grueling for some people. But I love it. The pressure that you feel and when you do make a heat, I love that feeling.”

Fortunately for the 2021 Welsh Champion, the backdrop of great surf firing through at The Wave makes it all work.
