2020 will mark the tenth year since the first digital images of Wavegarden tech hit the internet.

Let’s roll back the clock and watch Mick Fanning and Owen Wright shred knee-high primitive Wavegarden. It’s hard to believe it was so long ago that the world got its first look at the company’s Lagoon technology.

Back then refinements like a larger surfing area, dual-direction and adequate bathymetry to absorb all that wave-motion were still tucked away in the sketchbook. The test facility even has a plastic liner!

Mick and Owen were a tad skeptical of jumping into a secluded pond with their surf equipment. But Wavegarden, as always, delivered the goods.
