Aventuur announces the addition of Jarrod Neumann

This week Aventuur named Jarrod Neumann as Associate Director of Development North America. The move comes as Aventuur and others expand beyond their southern hemisphere base to America. This year also saw technology providers Surf Lakes and YourWave set up camp in the United States.

“We would like to welcome Jarrod Neumann to the team as Associate Director of Development North America,” said Aventuur in a statement. “Jarrod is focused on developing world-class surf parks for Aventuur in the United States, creating integrated destinations with a Wavegarden Cove as the cornerstone of the ecosystem.”

Before joining Aventuur, Jarrod served as a Development Manager in New England, overseeing projects across multiple states and various asset classes. He also contributed to the asset management team at TPG Hotels and Resorts, where he managed a portfolio of 75 branded boutique hotels.

The post from Aventuur states that Jarrod is a professional lacrosse player for Team USA, and for the Carolina Chaos as part of the Premier Lacrosse League and that he is passionate about golf, health and wellness, cooking and travelling, and has recently started his surfing journey.

On LinkedIn Jarrod shared that he is excited to join the team: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Associate Director of Development at Aventuur

Brooke Ferris and Andrew Ross
Brooke Ferris of Rip Curl and Andrew Ross of Aventuur. The two companies signed a partnership deal in June of this year.

In June plans for Aventuur’s development in New Zealand was granted resource consent by the Ministry of the Environment. The ruling means that construction on the project located on Dairy Flat Highway can start later this year. It’s good news for developers Aventuur who are moving ahead with their Perth wave pool which is expected to open in 2026.

In addition to the surfing amenities, the park will feature high-performance sports facilities, eco-cabins, a farm-to-table restaurant, and public outdoor amenities including walking and cycling trails. Anticipated to generate over 400 jobs during construction and over 100 full-time positions once operational, the Auckland Surf Park is poised to inject over $600 million into the local economy over the life of the project.

This year, Aventuur announced a partnership with Rip Curl to establish a surf retail outlet at Perth’s first surf park, which will be located in Central Cockburn, Western Australia. The $100 million development is scheduled to open in late 2026 and aims to attract over 1 million visitors each year. The facility will include wave pools suitable for all skill levels, high-performance training areas, and will host various sporting and cultural events, alongside leisure, hospitality, and retail options.

Rip Curl will act as the official retail partner for the Perth Surf Park, featuring a flagship store that will offer a selection of wetsuits, apparel, surfboards, and related equipment. The store will also include merchandise from local surf brands in Perth and Western Australia.
