Project Update: Thermal Beach Club Palm Desert

Back in September, The Thermal Beach Club, which is owned by the Kohl department store family, announced that they will be joining the wave pool race in Palm Desert, California.

The group continues to move forward on the project, as outlined with a new website launch last week. There are no real images of the property so far, only photorealistic mockups of what they plan to offer.

Currently, the Thermal Beach Club’s website is geared toward investors with images of the real estate development taking the lion’s share of digital space.

The website reads: “Own a piece of paradise – an exquisite villa estate set amidst a 20-acre clear blue lagoon and surrounded by a state-of-the-art luxury playground in the heart of the Coachella Valley. The Thermal Beach Club’s lifestyle is designed for thrills, relaxation and making memories for generations to come.”

The new Thermal Beach Club project is being developed by WhiteStar Development LLC and will utilize existing water rights. According to their brochure, the development will incorporate American Wave Machines PerfectSwell technology, which is also used at the 2-acre BSR Surf Resort in Texas.

Beach Front Property

The Thermal Beach Club will be developed on Kohl Ranch, a 2,200-acre property in the area of Thermal in the Coachella Valley and just 25 miles southeast of Palm Springs.

The Thermal Beach Club will include over 325 units on 210 resident lots, bungalows, villas and estates; a 16,000-square foot recreational center with a spa and exercise room; an 8,000-square foot pool and bar; a 4,500-square foot clubhouse restaurant with bar.
